It’s hard to know where to start when detailing the attractions of central London. There’s Buckingham Palace, Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe… we could be reeling off the key sites for a while. However, instead, we’ll leave you with the following list of ChargeApp charging points in and around the general area of these exciting places.
Starbucks, 54 Hopton Street, Falcon Point, SE1 9JH
Now, this is certainly a great stop for culture vultures, as it’s right beside both Shakespeare’s Globe, a modern rebuilding of a theatre from the playwright’s era, and the esteemed art gallery the Tate Modern.
Starbucks, 84 Piccadilly, W1V 9PH
Located right beside Green Park, this is a great place to sip from a frothy coffee or hot chocolate before you take a relaxing walk across the park – Buckingham Palace and ever-present tourist crowds are on the other side.
Terminal 5, Heathrow Airport, TW6
If you plan to fly into London from outside the United Kingdom, you can take comfort that one of the country’s leading airports, located in west London, has one of our charging points in the arrivals lounge of Terminal 5.
Hub Hotels, 28 Great Tower Street, EC3R 5AT
If you’re a big history buff, this is a great place for your overnight accommodation. Not only does it have a ChargeApp charging point, it’s also near the Tower of London, a place of extraordinary and fascinating legend.
Starbucks, 10 Russell Street, WC2B 5HZ
Yet another Starbucks? Yes, but we can’t help recommending this one, too – largely because it’s roughly in-between and close to both the huge Apple retail store in Covent Garden and, in the opposite direction, the London Transport Museum.
Starbucks, 442 Strand, WC2R 0QU
This is our closest charging station to Trafalgar Square, where you can see Nelson’s Column, the best-known and most visually impressive memorial to one of Britain’s most legendary naval figures. The station is also near the National Gallery, a trove of portraiture.
Starbucks, St. Pauls Church Yard, Juxon House, Unit 2, EC4M 8EH
St. Paul’s Cathedral: the most architecturally fascinating building in the country? It’s certainly a strong contender. At this charging point, you can get a drink and replenish your device’s battery before going off to explore the cathedral.
Charge Box, 14-16 Old Quebec Street, W1H 7AF
If you want to check out Marble Arch, the nineteenth century white triumphal arch originally intended to celebrate British military and naval victories of the Napoleonic Wars, you can first stop at this station to charge your smartphone for taking pictures.
Starbucks, 44-48 Brompton Road, Unit 4a, 44-58, SW3 1BW
Love classical music? Then you’re more than sorted with the Royal Albert Hall. Furthermore, it’s only a short walk away from this particular ChargeApp charging point.
Charge Box, 200 Westminster Bridge Road, SE1 7UT
What a treat for history buffs! This point is close to both the Florence Nightingale Museum and the Lambeth Road branch of the Imperial War Museum. Look out for a slab of the Berlin Wall erected just outside the latter…
